Введение в реестр медицинских специальностей профессии «врач-косметолог» породило много вопросов медицинского, социального и этико-правового характера. Участники Круглого стола были единодушны в том, что институализация новой профессии предполагает более четкую разработку образовательных программ, стандартизации оказываемых услуг, дифференциации лечебных, оздоровительных и эстетических вмешательств. Отмечено расхождение мнений о соотношении дерматологии и косметологии – одни эксперты настаивают на их относительной независимости, другие рассматривают косметологию как «прикладную дерматологию».
The fact that the profession of a beauty therapist entered the register of medical specialities has given rise to a number of medical, social, ethic and legal issues. The participants of the panel discussion were unanimous about the idea that institutionalization of a new profession should involve more precise elaboration of educational syllabi, standardization of rendered services, differentiation of therapeutical, health-promoting and aesthetic interventions. The panel pointed out that the opinions of the relationship between dermatology and cosmetology discord : some experts insist on their relative independence, others consider cosmetology as applied dermatology.
